Under Death Valley's extreme climate, this is a one of a kind type of hotel. The oasis garden is simply surreal in its lavish beauty. A lifetime experience. The pool area is also outstanding, with amazing water temperature issuing from natural springs, although high-end delicatessen and cocktails, besides light snacks and canned drinks, could be added to the limited range of products on offer in the pool bar. The hotel's main bar itself does have a great selection of drinks, including tap beer from Iceland and world-class cocktails. You can have a great collective stargazing experience on the top floor at night. The room itself was comfortable, and the AC and fridge, which make a world of difference in Death Valley, worked flawlessly. Also, most of the staff was quite nice.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Inn in November. The weather was perfect - 40s in the morning and at night and 70 during the day. We were a family of four and stayed at their Casita. The room was roomy and cozy, with a golf cart. The staff was all very nice and offered good service including the dining. They gave the guests free water bottles, which was very important. Though the dining had a low rating, we found it pretty good - the meals were not cheap, but it was acceptable given the location. The hotel was in the center of many interesting sightseeing spots, and we fully enjoyed easy hiking, nice driving, and star gazing. We would love to stay at the Inn again.

The location is perfect. An oasis within the desert. Old grand hotel style from 1927 well preserved and updated to todays standards. Unique and impressing. Star gazing at night possible on roof top. Pool area sourced by natural well. This hotel is worth a stop and even an extra trip if you want to enjoy a nice overnight in the middle of the Death Valley while not missing high standards. This hotel is above average and a true gem.

Good location between Yosemite and Las Vegas. The hotel is well appointed, and the swimming pool surpassed all our expectations. It was possibly the best outdoor pool I have seen at a hotel of this type it stays open until 11pm when there is a nice vibe. We stayed in a casita and were very happy with it. Very clean and comfortable. The golf carts to get around in the heat were an added bonus.

Andrew

Unique experience to stay in a desolate environment with modern conveniences. Seeing the night sky with minimal light pollution was great. Dining options at the Inn are limited, but the more extensive dining and shopping opportunities at the Ranch are only a short drive away.
